ON TO 2050 Layer: Flood Susceptibility Index

As part of the stormwater and flooding strategy paper, CMAP developed urban and riverine flood susceptibility indexes (FSI) to identify priority areas across the region for flooding mitigation activities. The FSI rasters are provided in the zipped geodatabases below. Other resources include the stormwater and flooding strategy paper appendix, which contains information about FSI inputs, procedures, and results, and the Guide to Flood Susceptibility and Stormwater Planning, which provides information on how to use the FSI in planning activities. Three FSI inputs are provided below: elevation differential between property and nearest Base Flood Elevation (BFE), impervious cover summarized by watershed catchments, and a topographic wetness index (TWI).
